Overview
The Distinctive Areas and Landscapes Standing Advisory Committee was appointed by the Minister for Planning on 28 June 2020.
The Committee has been appointed to provide advice on any referred Statement of Planning Policy (SPP) for the declared areas of Bass Coast, Bellarine Peninsula and Surf Coast.
For an area to be declared a ‘distinctive area and landscape’ it must contain a concentration of unique attributes of state and/or national significance. These might include environmental, landscape, geological, water, cultural heritage, natural resource, agricultural and strategic infrastructure features.
